Schools Music Project

The Studio has just been given permission to screen a DVD of a major crime and fire prevention schools music project at this year's Hartlepool Maritime Festival.

From last October, The Studio (which is running the two music stages at the festival) worked with schools and youth groups involving over 1000 young people aged 6 to 18 years. It explored crime and fire prevention through music and songwriting and culminated in each group writing and recording their own song which was included in a double CD entitled 'Stop it All'. The participating groups were filmed singing their own songs and it is this which is now available for the public to see.

The CD will also be on sale at £3.

Screening will take place at Hartlepool Museum Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th from 10am - 4pm. For more details please contact Liz Carter at The Studio 01429 424440
